OVERVIEW
The Kestrel Project was one of the projects I had a more involved hand in while working for GIMMWorks at Boise State University. The Raptor Research Group at Boise State University came to GIMMWorks seeking a virtual simulation that mimicked what their people did in the field with American kestrels within the Treasure Valley. This application features a kestrel bird where users will capture data using provided tools.

I had a large role in the design for this application, helping to draw out the framework and vision for what we wanted to include from a research outing with the Raptor Research Group. I expanded my virtual reality toolkit by working with the Meta's Interaction SDK, drawing parallels between it and OpenXR. My responsibilities on this project were:
Creating Interactions for Tool and Bird Interactions
Integrating Additive Animations
General Scripting for Tools, Events, and Animation
Unity Development
Recording, Mixing, and Implementing Voice Instructions using Audacity
