Sporting Arms VR is a dual project between my friend, Carter Jones and I, bringing the sport of Sporting Arms into a digital space for both enthusiasts and newcomers alike. The application is tailored to help players understand the foundations of the sport, while also making clear the nuances. So far the application has these features:

  • Physicalized Shotgun Interactions

  • 1:1 Scale Skeet Environment

  • Fully playable round of Skeet

  • Accessibility for handedness and vocal disability

As we are pushing for this to be published, the application needs to be polished, but still focusing on the core reason we are making it: replicating a real world experience into a virtual space without sacrificing core aspects of the activity or practice. My role within the team is varied, with my time being directed to different aspects of development:

  • C# Scripting Core Gameplay and VR Interactions

  • Audio Mixing and Implementation using Audacity

  • UI Design Mockups using Figma

  • UX Testing, Proctoring, and Analysis
